Best Spots in Colorado for Leaf Peeping & Fall Foliage
It’s almost that time of year. If you’ve experienced the fall colors in Colorado before you know that they typically peak in late September to early October. The challenge is always that the timing can vary based on elevation, weather patterns, and a million other factors.
For the best chance of seeing fall foliage at its peak, plan your trip in late September to early October. Just know that peak viewing times can vary depending on where you are in the state. Here’s a rough estimate of the best times to visit certain locations to see the changing colors, happy leaf peeping and beware of traffic during peak season!
Plus, if you’ve ever accidentally ended up on a road in the middle of nowhere during peak leaf season and encountered an unexpected line of traffic as far as the eye can see, I see you.
